Welcome to 20cc! Based at Ghent University, Twentieth-Century Crossroads aims to bring together and stimulate research on twentieth-century literatures, especially modernist literatures and cultures, in different language traditions. Our research group focuses on three intersecting research strands: (1) media and the masses (including periodicals, radio, film, and comics); (2) space and place (including topics such as the city, exile, and migration); and (3) conflict and change (including topics such as war and socio-cultural change).
